February 18, 2009 Social and Economic Roots of Homelessness
We are joining the National Homelessness Marathon in an exploration of the political and economic roots of homelessness. The collapse of the sub-prime credit markets, loss of countless jobs in manufacturing and retail and widespread defaults on home mortgages have accelerated an already significant problem of homelessness. Join us to get a closer look at homelessness in Maine, the housing crisis, impacts on public health and steps we can take to rebuild our housing system.
Join our dialogue at 10:00 AM as we discuss recreation and health.
We invite your calls and email with questions and comments.
