February 20 , 2008 Finding Shelter - Local Responses to Homelessness and Marginal Housing

The winter of 2007-2008 may be remembered for heavy snow and rising energy prices. With the price of home heating nearly $1.00 per gallon higher than last year, many people are struggling to stay warm. Rental housing owners have seen their profits go up in smoke with heating costs. Affordable housing is ever more difficult to find.

This is the kick off for WERU's participation in the National Homelessness Marathon which will be airing overnight.

Join our dialogue on Wednesday, February 20 at 10:00 AM as we discuss local solutions to the housing crises, the heating crisis and homelessness.
