We're ending the year with an icy dive into the oceans. Our relationship to nature defines who we are and will have profound impacts on future generations. The case for our interrelationship with nature is manifest in our long historic connection the sea. Many of our misdeeds, from wars to toxic waste have been absorbed by these vast bodies of water, but the tide has turned and in many ways we have gone beyond the capacity of the oceans to absorb our waste.
