August, 2005 Common Health: Clean Air
WERU’s August Common Health program focused on the everyday fact that we all must breathe the air around us whether we are indoors or out. But what is the quality of the air we are we breathing, what are the effects of air quality on our health, and what can we all do to improve the quality of the air we breathe in common? These are the questions that occupied host Jim Fisher and his guests, Pam Person from the League of Women Voters, and Jeff Crawford from Maine state government.
This short program featured Dr. Robert Weiss of Belfast speaking about the health effects of poor air quality and what we can do to lessen the adverse healthy effects of breathing poor quality air.
